Make your OWN lipgloss

Hello everyone,
This post will be about those days were you run out of lip gloss, so this post will teach you how to create your own lip gloss so we are done for today, bye, just joking, so you will need a container for your mixture, eyeshadow or blusher in the shade of pink red or any color you like, Vaseline or any moisturizer like that, and a toothpick to mix everything. First, wash your container so it is nice and clean, put your Vaseline in your container. Then, take your eyeshadow or blush and sprinkle a lot of it on your Vaseline and mix everything together, optional: add a little bit of vanilla for that extra smell, mix all of that with a toothpick. add that on you're lips now those days are OVER.

Short Hair How-To: Dianna Agron and Dia Frampton

Stars like Dianna Agron and Dia Frampton add a soft bounce to their short ‘dos for a sexy yet innocent look. Follow these easy steps to recreate the look at home:
1. Let your hair part naturally and blow dry.
2. Prep hair with a texturizer all over the head.
3. Take small sections of hair and wrap in the same direction (usually away from the face) around a half-inch to one-inch curling iron. Each curl should follow the same pattern around the barrel. TIP: Don’t use the clamp on your curling iron — just wrap your hair around the barrel. You can also use a curling wand in place of an iron.
3. Shake out your hair, and finish with hairspray.
This wavy 'do can be dressed up or down, depending on how you feel! Glam up the look with an LBD and bright lip, the way Dianna does; or, keep things casual and chic like Dia with a sundress and light makeup.
For what occasion would you rock these short, beachy waves?

Heavy Metal: Copper-Streaked Hair at Haider Ackermann

What does a walk through Haider Ackermann’s world look like for fall? Well, for one, there are the clothes—supremely elegant sculptural jackets, front slit skirts, and high-waisted pants in earthen tones of moss green, saffron, and rust. And then there’s the hair. As soft and moody as the strains of Frank Sinatra’s “Autumn Leaves” on the runway, the models’ wispy, copper-streaked buns possessed a surreally romantic quality—as if a crisp wind had whipped through them, leaving only a few glimmering, melancholic traces of its memory behind.

“Haider said, ‘I want black hair,’ and it just evolved from there,” said hairstylist Eugene Souleiman of the look from the opulent dressing area of the Hôtel de Ville. With a lineup of models that included blondes Anja Rubik and Daria Strokous, he had to conjure a little trompe l’oeil magic first. After blowing out the hair using Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz for texture, he saturated it with can upon can of inky Stargazer One Wash Color Hairspray to create a dark, graffiti-streaked effect—blackening his own hands up to the wrist in the process. “Don’t worry,” he said. “We’ve told their agents it will wash right out with one shampoo.” Once he’d twisted it into a messy, flyaway knot, he dipped a brush into a molten metallic makeup pigment and began applying it onto the crown with long, fine strokes at random. “It’s painterly, but not in a Renaissance way,” he said, before breaking into a devilish laugh. “If Jackson Pollock had been a hairdresser, he might have done this.”

De-stick sticky gloss!

Hi everyone,

There are a few things that we ladies can all pretty much agree upon (such as the power of chocolate, a shared love for shoes, and the need for hair conditioner, to name a few.) Add to the list: How insanely annoying it is when your favorite lip gloss is sticky. (This particular annoyance is actually probably universal, since I’m guessing the gentlemen out there aren’t fans of it either!)

Sticky lip gloss can mess up your hair, smear onto your face, and repel a cute boy...and it only gets worse with the weather. But it looks so good!

So here's my de-stick trick for you: Next time your lips are too sticky, run an ice cube on top of your gloss to smooth it out. This should help dilute some of the goop :)

DIY Sugar & Olive Oil Scrub!

Hi everyone,
As the weather begins to cool, our skin becomes more high maintenance. The best thing you can do to keep your skin healthy and fresh till spring is to exfoliate and moisturize, and this Sugar & Olive Oil scrub does both! Sugar Olive Oil Scrub You Need:
•1 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
•2 Tablespoons Organic Honey (does not have to be organic, regular honey is fine too)
•3 ½ Cup Organic Sugar (does not have to be organic, regular sugar is fine too, but no Splenda)
•4 Measuring utensils
•5 Chopstick or stirring stick
•6 Clean container
Steps:
1.Add the extra virgin olive oil to your container.
2.Next, add the honey. NOTE: Adding in this order will help to get all the honey out of the measuring utensil
3.Add the sugar to the mixture.
4.Stir well with the chopstick or stirring stick
Ta-da!

Tips:

  • These amounts don’t need to be exact, and you can adjust the proportions as needed.
  • Do not store in the fridge – this will harden the mixture, which you do not want.
  • Don't be afraid of the oil! It won't clog your pores!

To Apply:

  1. Wash your face and make sure your makeup is completely removed before applying the scrub
  2. Use a tiny spatula to scoop 1 little scoopful, and apply all over your face
  3. Scrub in a broad, circular motion (avoid your eye area!)
  4. After about 60 seconds, rinse off the mixture
  5. Pat dry your face
  6. Usually, my skin feels thoroughly moisturized, and I only apply my eye cream and acne solution after drying. But if you feel your skin still needs it, you can also apply moisturizer at this step.
  7. Use only at nighttime, but not recommended for nightly use. If you have sensitive skin, try using it once a week. If you have oily skin, twice using it once a week or every 3-4 days.

This scrub is natural, organic and fresh, and it should last you up to 30 days. It works great on any type of skin, too; I’ve used it every winter, and I’ve never had a problem with it.

BONUS: This scrub also works great on dry or rough skin on the rest of your body. Apply it to your heels and feet for an at-home pedi treatment!

Let me know if you give it a try!
